SDRNews Team – Headed to Las Vegas
We received some really exciting news – concerning a quick reaction deployment of the SDRNews field team to Las Vegas, Nevada in less than five days.
Jeffrey Powers of the Geekazine podcast, Kara Karsten and I will providing on-site coverage of the HP Technology Forum and Expo beginning next week – Monday June 15 continuing through Thursday June 18. You might say this is an opportunity to excel. And that’s our plan.
The opportunity came our way due to some last minute schedule changes and some quick help from Jake Luddington and Todd Cochrane. – and quite frankly when there was some daylight, we jumped at the chance. It’s a chance to learn about HP cloud computing, imaging, networking, mobility, opensource, nonstop, datacenter and personal systems.
Plans are coming into place as we speak. and we are really looking forward to the event. The HP Forum and Expo drew around 7000 people in recent years and is the comprehensive show of HP technology, products, and services. The web site is at HPTechnologyForum.com
We are planning a combination of CES style on the floor coverage, mixed in with CMS Expo style one on one interviews. Right now, we are grappling with the scope of the conference – combining over a hundred exhibitors with four hundred separate training and lob sessions. And you can be sure that we will be providing some back channel coverage as well – to try and capture some of the fun and craziness of the on site and behind the scenes. The event is at the Mandalay Bay
We will provide video highlights on the Techpodcasts.com site, and just as we have covered CES for the past four years, try to give you the sense of being at the event, talking with a variety of people and learning more about HP products and technology.
If you are going to be at HP Forum in Las Vegas, please tweet to @axmc or @geekazine or connect via linkedin – we may be able to get you on camera and say hello.
