This is a Press Preview Edition of SDR Coverage of CES in Las Vegas, NV.
One of the other main attractions at the press event was the Hotseat flight or road simulation system that (bare bones $900) or tricked out $4000 would meet your every simulation need. Even claims that the FAA would recognize hours spent in this simulator as a replacement for flight time. Things got a little sketchy when I pressed the rep on how the Certified Flight Instructor would participate in this one – unless there were a separate machine. I’m a little skeptical. Maybe it’s due to recent exposure to a steely-eyed Sport Pilot Examiner. |
