Today’s video is a close up look at the Microsoft Zune player. I had not paid much attention to some of the press releases from a week or two ago, but this video lets you see the Zune go through its paces. I have not yet made the leap to the Video iPod – but there are several in the extended family and come Christmastime that might change.
It looks like there is no limit to the number of screens that we are willing to put in place in our lives – but the limiting aggravation for the business traveler seems to be finding primary power during a layover to get things recharged. At least at O’Hare, it seems like almost every easily accessible outlet on the Terminal B and C concourse has been used so many times that the two blade plugs just fall out – and the three blade are not much better. Terminal 2 seems to be a bit better – I think they must have turned on the hot spots a few months later on that concourse. Once again, the PublicVPN service provided the $6 per month peace of mind securing the WiFi link once I was able to find some power.
Arrived here at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo after a pleasant day of connecting flights.
Griddlecakes Radio host and creative talent Ron Ploof was one of the first smiling faces that I got to see at the hotel – and a chance to catch up on the . He’s restoring the lost art of radio storytelling – and made it as high as #13 on the iTunes Music store for Children and Family programming.
We both agree that the next few days are going to be an interesting reflection on the changes in the podcasting world in just a year. I’ll have more of a report tomorrow.
