Here’s how you can get the inside track into winning one of the cash prize awards from TechPodcast Networks – just plan on being on line at our Roundtable this Saturday April 29, at 1:30PM Pacific / 4:30PM Eastern.

This month’s Roundtable includes segments on Dual booting of the Mac platform, Remote podcasting gear and techniques, and a special demo of how to port an application to a portable USB drive.

This is your chance to see exactly the steps needed to take an application and convert it to the U3 environment using the free download Developer’s kit. Our guest is Scott Corley, from Red-Mercury.com – a leading game developer for Acid Solitaire, Acid Freecell, and Acid Spider on Windows, Windows Mobile, and Palm OS .

If you have some questions about the TechPodcast / U3 Developer’s Contest, or are just a little bit unclear on the process, attend the Roundtable and the the word from an expert. Scott was a featured speaker at a recent Game Developer’s Conference in the Bay Area, with attendees from all over the world.

It’s going to be fun, and you can learn how you can enter and compete for $850 in cash in three categories. You can find contest details and register for the Roundtable at Techpodcasts.com”

If you want to get an early start, though, if you enter the TPN/U3 contest this week, you may win a Free 256MB USB drive from U3. Details on the Tech Roundtable, and Contest Entry Rules are at Techpodcasts.com”

The second gem that came to light today is a free 40 page downloadable e-Book from Rajesh Setty, a fellow Gnomedexer.. It’s called :“Personal Branding for Technology Professionals”, and it’s some heavy reality for anyone in the technology arena – especially the IT field or pure technologists. The cycle is familiar. It takes you years to develop a skill set, and if they are really in demand, there’s an uptick. But your value quickly erodes, the marketplace flooded with the same skill. Oversupply moves quickly to commoditization, and the cycle repeats – if you want to stay in the game. If you want to thrive in the marketplace for the long term, you need more than technology skills alone. Rejesh is the author of Beyond Code. I’ve linked it on SDR, and at whatever stage you are in your technology journey, this free download is highly recommended.

Other reminders: TechPodcasts Roundtable This Saturday 1:30 Pacific, links to sign up on the site. Secondly, Download the Developer Kit and register be email at contest@techpodcasts.com .
