CES Interview Series: Combots
Combots are avatar based desktop icons that create VPN pipes to a distant location or buddy’s desktop. Any file dropped on the icon is replicated on the distant end of the connection, and appears along with the icon at the other desktop.
In the event that the other person is offline, the file is temporarily cached on central servers by Combots.
Caution: This site is totally worksafe, but annoying audio animations will occasionally show up. That’s the “personality” of the particular avatar.
There were several interviews that I was not able to include due to time limitations at CES that highlight products or topics that you might enjoy.
