Plan for the Week

Today’s mobile edition gives you some idea of what’s happening – but not the full story.
We are back in the family home town on a combination vacation and family trip of the most serious sort. This is probably the last time that we will be able to see a beloved Aunt who, at age 97, is in hospice care. Her mind is clear and composed but the outlook is almost certain. My dad, at age 92 and mother-in-law are of similar concerns.
This unfortuntately comes at a time when day job pressures have been increasing and podcasting is coming up short. There are simply not enough hours in the day.
I will be working a full schedule most days this week as well – I’ll keep things working as near as possible. That is why I have been compiling today’s show while mobile catching news on 1xRTT and EVDO the few places where it is available- and you will be hearing similar sorts of production all week as we try to spend as much time with family as possible in view of the work demands.
Something is still not quite right on the DNS resolution for some ISP’s – and the intermittent nature of the problem is causing additional problems. Thanks to those of you who have sent along traceroute reports – I am continuing to forward them to the GoDaddy server support but the picture is still unclear.
IF you tracked the CES coverage earlier this year, you are getting another glimpse of the real world of podcasting. It’s not all smooth.
