iPad Camera ? iPass

Even though there are apparently hooks in the iPad SDK for a fairly sophisticated camera app- the initial decision to omit a camera is probably a pretty good one.
First of all, the size of the iPad makes it too big to be handy – like the iPhone, and more importantly, very hard to hold still for either still or video photography. The trusty combination of size, weight, and lens quality of the Single Lens Reflex camera will insure that the SLR is not going out of fashion any time soon.
One of the aggravations of a laptop web cam has been getting the camera focused and pointed the right way for Skype or similar video conference . Without a means of elevating the laptop -especially in a hotel room – getting the camera angle away from nostril gazing, and still retaining the ability to read the screen is a juggling act at best.
On the other hand, at least the laptop has a bottom and a hinge – two axis stabilization at least. The iPad would offer none – unless you wanted the peeking in the aquarium look. iPass.
