    Live Event Coverage This Week

A lot of details beginning to swing into action for coverage of the CMS Expo in Chicago this week.

There will be, all told, six team members to rotate through the Evanston IL site next week- depending on their availability and activities -

Some of the folks you have already met:

SDRNews Associate Producer Kara Karsten was at CMSExpo Denver, and will be on hand for the entire conference in Chicago to not only cover the news at CMSExpo, but to speak with people about her plans for the new Agile Programming podcast as well.

Fellow Tech Podcast Network Producer and host Jeffrey Powers of the Geekazine podcast: Jeffrey was the mainstay of the CES2009 video backchannel in Las Vegas, along with cameraman Andy Brown , who found a number of cool products for the team that also included Todd Cochrane of Geek News Central.

Jeff and I will be on deck Tuesday evening and begin setup Wednesday morning at the Hotel Orrington – which is less than a block from Northwestern Univ in Evanston, IL. about 20 minutes north of the loop, and 2 blocks from the lake.

We are also welcoming two new team members to the event: Adam Fusfeld and Paul Zolkind – who are going to be providing tech support and a lot of the behind the scenes hustle to keep the live productions rolling and recording in six parallel sets of sessions.

The CMS Expo has a half day training session on Wednesday and that is our first opportunity to get interviews with presenters and keynoters that will be leading the conference all week.

You can keep up to date with our schedule by going to the site at SDRNEws.com, and hitting the CMS Expo coverage tab.

Right now, you will see placeholder articles starting to go into the lineup for the Keynote speakers, and as soon as we have that content we will get that out and announced on Twitter.

Just like CES, there will be booth interviews, plenty of backchannel and as an added attraction, some backchannel coverage of the North by Northwest bands and venues that have been rolled out for Thursday night.

There will be some combined shows in the coming week between Geekazine and SDRNews – and all told we are looking forward to an exciting week !
