HP Magical Giveaway

The HP Magic Giveaway is the event of this Christmas Season.
Thanks to the generosity of Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, and Corel, for the first time I am able to introduce one of the most meaningful events of the year.
You may have recalled the 31 Days of the Dragon promotion earlier this year. Through the efforts of Buzz Corps, Inc, HP and Microsoft have decided to expand from 31 to 50 sites around the world – including bloggers and podcasters and arrange that each of the sites offer a single prize to one listener or reader.
They have donated a package of hardware and software valued at over $6000 to each of the fifty blog or podcast sites. The only restriction is that the prize go to a single winner, and that the winner “pay it forward†to other deserving people or organizations in their local community.
There are five computers in the package – and a long list of software, accessories that is found at the site.

HP HDX 18 series Premium Notebook PC
HP MediaSmart Connect
HP Pavilion dv4 series Entertainment Notebook PC (with Windows Live)
HP Mini 1000 (with XP)
To enter the contest, you have to decide which item you are keeping for you or your family, and how and why you are choosing to give the other hardware and software to specific individuals or organizations in your community that deserve support or recognition from HP and Microsoft.
Then you simply create a short Seesmic video, post it on your website, blog, MySpace or Facebook page and send the Seesmic embed code with your HP Magic Giveaway entry. It will be featured on SDRNews.com, and portions may be featured in a special session of the SDRNewsroom.
The contest was announced at one minute after midnight Dec 10, and will close at 11:00PM December 15. The award will be made before midnight Dec 16. As always, some restrictions apply – see full rules on the site for details.
