All Of Me Lifecasting Scrapbook

The Twitterstream from Jeff Pulver came up with a winner: The All-of-Me Beta .
It looks to me like All-of-Me is a potential game changer. You know that I have been impressed with Seesmic, because it harvests the immediacy of video presence in a way that is approached by written communications, but with the informality of IM.
All of Me is the inner directed version of the same potential intimacy, because it offers the potential to combine in a single interface the entire digital media stream that represents and will represent the future life record for an individual. Photos, videos, music, pdf, midi tracks,audio – anything digital.
This one, though, it going to have a much more troubled introduction than Seesmic. Getting data off of those terrabyte drives – now trading in the $250 range at BestBuy is the easy part. The hard part will be figuring out what to do with the service once it moves past the electronic version of scrapbooking.
Who owns that All of Me stream ? Who owns the rights to share, datamine, transpose, modify or extend that stream ? There are probably scenes that will get recorded – just like ill advised MySpace photos or blog posts that are just as well not being preserved. What happens when this is subpoenaed ? How do you know that the data is accurate or not photoshopped in some way.
This is a big threshold that we are crossing. I am not sure my grandson needs this.
