Thanks to SDR listener Bruce Barr who left a message on an old and (fortunately monitored) voice dial in line.
Something happened – I am not sure what but there are either some mp3 frames that are flat missing or some that got slammed together (rather well, I might add) into a shorter show than normal.
I listened to the direct download – but when I pull the original file that was uploaded it gets even stranger. The old Signal Corps expression was “5×5 leaving here” – but it looks a bit different on the other end.
The Libsyn version – depending upon either a direct download or playback through the Podtrac player – has some thing strange going on.
The direct download just goes silent for a few minutes.
The Podtrac player very smoothly jumps from a news item on Lively, the new Google offering, into a Voip discussion on P2P encryption that was a good deal later in the podcast.
Of course, this is in the midst of airport travel and EVDO access so I do not have full time to chase it immediately.
I’ll kill the existing Libsyn file, re-load the material, reset the database at Libsyn, and unpublish/republish from WordPress.
All that – I hope it fixes it and does not give listeners a lot of grief.
What a way to spend a travel day !
