Just a Fan of Hank

I have to confess that I have never been able to sit through an entire episode of “King of the Hill”. Just too realistic, I guess.
But, you have to admire the inspiration that it provided to the fellow who allegedly scammed over $50,000 from E-Trade, Schwab and others by creating accounts and then pocketing the two to 99 cents that got deposited randomly to the bank account as a verification of the transfer for the account.
It seems that that fellow was a fan of “King of the Hill” and populated his automated script with charater names from the series.
And that was what the Secret Service found just a little bit suspicious when the same names turned up on thousands of accounts, all pointing back to a single IP address.
With luck, he’ll get a cell that has cable TV with “King of the Hill” reruns.
