Sometimes you find something of interest that is just too weird not to include in the podcast or video. The project – now a digital artist creation – not a particularly scientific investigation – involves capture of sleep pattern eye movements and EEG data, and using that information to drive the servos and switches of a robot – in effect playing back the night’s dream.

They ask the provacative question: Would we want to store our dreams in some robotic form, just as we store our images in a photo album ? If this is art, of commercial value, who owns the intellectual property of the performance, since it was created involuntarily and subconciously by the artist.

Watch the video and you will see why it is weird enough to warrant some thought.

Or maybe you just have to be weird to think about it..
