What a variety of stories today !
While the deeds and plans of evil doers in Russia, China, and California go forward, at least some of the good -guy white hat activity gets publicity from the University of Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, a sign of maturity in the emerging hybrid car marketplace: How do your move from the well heeled early adopter portion of the marketplace to the early majority ? Toyota is realizing that the use model and consumer behavior is at least as important as the technology in the selection of the combination of features and capabilities that will resonate with the marketplace. Only that alignment is going to bring real, non-subsidized adoption of various forms of vehicles that can perform the transition to better energy sources and utilization.
No less disruptive – the IBM prediction of the virtual collapse of advertising – which has in its present form supported our economy for the past eighty years at least, with the advent of broadcasting. Digital media, focus and alignment with the needs of consumers will be the key here, just as in Hybrid electric automobiles.
It will not necessarily be the best technology, but rather the best aligned technology that will be the winner in the marketplace, over the long haul.
