New Media Expo
On the way to the New Media Expo – formerly known as the Portable Media Expo / Podcast and Portable Media Expo.
It is simply the NAB show for the Podcasting world – and probably one of the most exciting venues in the world, simply because of the newness of it all.
October 12, Slashdot Review and SDRNews will celebrate three years of podcast news service – the first two years on a six day per week schedule, the past year producing five days per week. Add in other productions for RVBusiness Review, Rotary Polio Podcast, RF-EDABusinessReview and commercial work, and they total well over a thousand episodes.
This will be the third PME/NME Expo, the last one in the Ontario, CA convention center (the event moves to Las Vegas in 2008).
It’s exciting to be a part of the birth of a new industry. I am really looking forward to see what has changed, what has remained the same and the challenge of deciding what parts of the new and old it is best to keep.
I really appreciate the support, loyalty, encouragement and dedication of SDR listeners. I can promise that there are changes in the works – I have no idea what they might be.
But I can also promise that I’ll try to keep in mind the elements that have enabled us to move this far – because I don’t want to lose them for the long haul.
