Do Not Call – Refresh Time
Early adopters are, well often first to the party. And I imagine that many SDRNews listeners were among the very first to register their phones and the phones of family and friends on the “Do Not Call” lists.
That means that we will be among the very first to feel the expiration / mandatory refresh of that database that has a five year life span from June of 2003 – which means that in June of 2008, it will be open season on grandmas once again.
Not that the present system did not provide ample loopholes for the really determined Frateral Order of Police, Real Estate agents, and anyone who could prove the “previously existing business relationship” that your 15 year old generated in a drawing for a car at the mall. But, it has been an improvement none the less.
Time to get one more to-do in the calendar before the FOP fund raiser gets your number once again.
