      Human Behavior

      Years ago, an introductory Economics grad course that I attended introduced the idea that economics has little or nothing to do with money. It’s merely a way of keeping score, and what economics monitors is a particular manifestation of human behavior.

      The BBC news item shows that the hacker tools – and cyber criminals that use them – have become commoditized. The claim is that there are 68,000 various nefarious software tools available for rent to not the highest bidder – available for rent by anyone willing to pony up the modest cost.

      Much like the original business plan by Levi Strauss – sell the gold miners the clothing, shovels and picks – and let the risk fall where it may.
