Battle for the Living Room Continues

The most interesting item today ? Had to be the list of Apple TV Resources.

Steve Jobs characterized Apple as “Three businesses and a hobby” : Computers, iPods and iPhone and then, in a class by itself, Apple TV.

The point that was made in the article: We are seeing AppleTV 1.0.

The continued pressure from Amazon/Tivo, Netflicks, MovieLink and other services – not to mention the more mundane Pay-Per-View services already available on satellite and cable will give AppleTV 2.0 a run for the money.

There’s all sorts of room for improvement in the experience, and the skill with which an experience can be shaped is the special sauce that Apple has done so well.

Experience is a part of the purchase. I wonder how many of you have the packaging from your iPod, MacMini or MacBook Pro ?
