Feed Correction

There’s nothing like a “Special Episode” that turns special for the wrong reason.

That’s what happened to the Episode for July 24(SDR2007-07-24.mp3), which, in addition to a one time announcement and offer for a new sponsor was one of the few episodes (maybe one every two months or so) that got hung up in a partial download/database entry at Libsyn, our media server provider. Add in a late night manual “correction” on a feed detail, and the show gets “really special”, and not in a good way.

All should be back on track now – and your iTunes or Podcatcher program should get synced back up and have the audio file SDR2007-07-24.mp3.

I have been an Audible subscriber for years, consuming scores of programs on lengthy commutes, on the treadmill, on flights or just walking the dog.

More than once, after a long trip we have been parked in the driveway finishing a chapter.

Devil in the White City

I especially enjoyed the book “Devil in the White City” – a history thriller about the Chicago Columbian Exposition in 1892 and America’s First Serial Killer. Why ? Because it took place only a few blocks from my commute on the Dan Ryan Expressway, a few blocks my exit !
