Range of Topics – What a Feast !
The news items today represent quite a variety.
Like all news operations, there are busy days and slow days. Today was one of the busy days, with a lot of items of interest – over a wide range of topics.
Advances in materials and devices – such as the 40 Gb/sec optical modulator provide the background.
Consumer Products and services, government intervention and regulation, and the continued interaction of those factors with technology constitutes the real story.
Nothing moves forward like the combination of the three. Stir in the presumed Wisdom of Crowds, and you see that documenting this news from Slashdot, Digg, and Reddit is a pretty good combination.
