      Too Much Going On

I have to admit that there is too much going on for me to keep up on this trip. Family visiting on a schedule is always a challenge, and I have just not taken much time to think about the streams of news coming in regarding the iPhone and other stories – so will have to reserve those comments for a return to a more normal schedule.

What is apparent, though, is that (pro or con) Steve Jobs continues to garner a very large amount of mindshare and publicity – something that will almost insure the jumpstart for the iPhone the first few months of release.

How the shoes wear after the break-in period remains to be the big question for the rest of the year. After harvest of the early adopter customers (where I am normally one of the first in line) the next move of the chess board will be adoption and uptake by business travelers, and how and when concessions are made on the unit price.

I am thinking that it is going to be a hard sell, even with the price point adjustment.
