      NuTsie

Melodeo – which pioneered true digital podcasting on the mobile phone platform with Mobilcast for podcast reception – has cooked up a new application that should get more notice in the next few weeks.

It’s called NuTsie, and besides being an anagram for iTunes, it’s an interesting evolution in the theme of “your media – when and where you want it” .

Creating a NuTsie account is the first step. Then exporting a playlist from your iTunes validates a set of tunes on the NuTsie servers.

A one time download (in response to an SMS invite) on your cellphone, and your tunes then become available – in a shuffle mode – streamed as data into your phone.

Upload a different playlist, and you can call that up as well.

Price points being what they are, this is not going to replace mp3 players on a device cost basis – but for pure convenience nuTsie might be on the right track.
