    Slashdot Review Podcast

It’s official – the Techpodcast Network team will be covering the Consumer Electronic Show live – live to hard drive that is- from the Las Vegas Convention Center.

I’ll be teaming up with Todd Cochrane of Geek News Central – and providing a mix of news, interviews, impressions of walking the show, new products and -this year – video of our pick hits of each day of the show.

All this is going to require some advance planning – especially from listeners.

First of all, if you will be there, or your company would like to be included on the interview circuit, please send an e-mail to SDR@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Second, if your company would be interested in underwriting or sponsoring an SDR News Episode or series of podcasts or videos from the show – please contact Mark McCreary of Podtrac. His contact info is on the Contact Us Page at SDR.com.

Third – we are really seeking suggestions on what you liked and did not like about 2006 coverage. Once again, the Contact Us page is the key – I will share some of the most interesting suggestions and make sure they get considered in the planning for the big event.

    Great Podcast, .. But ..

Ok – It’s been almost two months on the new format, and there are still some rough edges. Compound that with putting a show together late in the evening West Coast time – close to 2AM Eastern and from time to time you get taken in.

Thanks to Ian Lacey who pointed out that http://www.bbspot.com/ has a reputation here.

Check their about page (I would give you a direct link but the site is
    timing out).

    Will Barn sent the following:
Great Podcast but you have got to check source of your news. After taking a second slug of Pepto-Bismol after you announcement of MPAA Lobbing on Home theaters rules, I read the other articles on the same web page you referenced.
I believed you first instincts were correct, its a parody.

MPAA to Thwart Pirates by Making All Movies Suck

Sony Unveils New Self-Destructive DVD Player

MPAA and DVD Manufacturers Agree on HD-DVD Format (A crystal CD that hold zero
    data)

    Thanks for listening -

Like all good parodies – there must be some element of truth that makes it funny – maybe DRM, Plugging Analog port and similar content set the stage and the act looked plausible.
