    Google Bombing

“Google bombing” campaign intended to game the search engine’s ranking algorithms.
By flooding the Web with references to the candidates and repeatedly cross-linking to specific articles and sites on the Web, it is possible to take advantage of Google’s formula and force those articles to the top of the list of search results.
    Example of GB
Google for “Peter King,” the Republican congressman from Long Island, would bring up a link to a Newsday article headlined “King Endorses Ethnic Profiling.”
articles to be used “had to come from news sources that would be widely trusted in the given district,”

    DMCA – Odd Twist

Mark Cuban – Only an idiot ?
    Google Deep pockets
YouTube is in much better legal shape than anyone seems to want to accept.
Obscure section of DMCA originally put into the law by telco industry. If a user puts the content up, the carrier is not liable – only has to make reasonable efforts to take it down.
    DMCA 2
YouTube loves it – air cover
the content industry actually likes §512 more than anyone will admit. exposure and control. owners have an option. They can leave it posted there, if they want people to see it, and build buzz. But they can also snap their fingers and bring it all down.
    DMCA 3
much of the copyrighted material on YouTube is in a legal category that is new to our age. It’s not “fair use,” the famous right to use works despite technical infringement, for reasons of public policy.
I nstead, it’s in the growing category of “tolerated use”—use that is technically illegal, but tolerated by the owner because he wants the publicity.
If that sounds as weird as “don’t ask, don’t tell,” you’re getting the idea.
    HD Format Wars

    Free Puppy Strategy
Take one home you’ll like it
MS – Universal- King Hong on HDDVD
    Blu-Ray Talledega Nights first 500k – Sony
HD-DVD Toshiba pumping Xmas with certificate for 3 HD DVD four months starting Nov 1
