Dual Confusion

I really wanted to recommend the particular show from One Minute Tip concerning TIVO podcast reception yesterday. So much so that I ended up confusing many if not most podcatchers until the error was discovered this morning.
The first tipoff was a Skype IM from Mark Bradley of Antipodean Podcast. Mark is one of our TPN members and is first to notice, because he is one of the first to download SDR being in Australia. His first words: You’ve been hi-jacked !
Not true. What happened was that instead of linking to a site, as I normally would do, I linked to the actual show at OneMinuteTip podcast that had the segment. WordPress dutifully put it into the text and linked it nicely, but when a podcatcher came to it it said “a-ha mp3,I know about those, and logged it as an enclosure” . The real problem came a few milliseconds later when it saw the real enclosure and freaked. The collateral damage seemed to vary from client to client – and I hope that it did not mess up your podcatcher.
The work around was to delete last night’s posting, repost with new content but old enclosure.
As I told John Chambers in the email, “In the future I will try to behave”.
