It’s a busy week on tap as I’ll be mobile on a business trip and Annette will be doing most of the heavy lifting for the week. Here’s what to expect for the next few days: Depending on the quality of the net connection that I get at the hotel, and timing and availability of time for podcasting, I’ll be sending some items back to Annette. We’ll try to adhere to the basic Eastern Daylight time zone publishing schedule, but if things get off track, some of the listeners in Austraila/New Zealand/Europe will have a day late interruption depending on when your podcatcher swings into action. Likewise, some material I prepare will be interleaved with some more recent items by Annette. We’ll do all we can to make sure we keep the service running smoothly for the week.

News this weekend that the Tech Roundtable has finally been posted in Mac format on the site at techpodcasts.com. This will be of special interest to Mac owners who are considering the addition of an Intel Duo-based Mac Mini or similar, as the first session of the roundtable was from TPN member Allison Sheridan of NosillaCast with a demo of the parallels workstation software. Thanks to Todd Cochran from Geek News Central who in the process learned more than he ever wanted to know about transcoding video formats. The TPN U3 developers contest continues for one more week – $850 in prizes up for grabs, and still a chance for you to participate. A belated hello to G. Burne in Australia who recently subscribed to SlashdotReview using the free FeedBlitz service, which as you may know provides a daily email version of the podcast complete with the built-in Podtrac player.
