Some times I do just get carried away with some pure geek entertainment. I’ll be brief, but you might want to check this out for fun:
The site is called Let Them Sing It For You. . With some creative phonetic spelling you can get even closer to being recognizable. You start out by typing in the words to a song that you might have written – and then, pulling on the vocabulary of song extracts in the database, you may have some interesting sounds to emerge.
A reminder that DownloadRadio.org continues to host current and past shows for SDR. Download Radio is a great source for archives not only for SDR, but for programs like Engadget Podcast with Phil Torrone of Make Magazine, Eric Rice, The Podcast Brothers, Wireless Tech Radio and The Al Franken Show.
As time permits, have a look at the Techpodcasts.com site. While each Network show will continue to have it’s own site and hosting, the central location for the Techpodcast Network will feature links to both members and affiliates, and combine listener forums for the network.
I meant to get more done on the networked Tivo today, but got day job distracted and did not get much done beyond pulling the Tivo Desktop and mounting a directory of mp3 tunes from one of the basement boxes. Still, the tunes sounded very good through the TV surround sound – but I’m still not thrilled with the directory listing and mode of operation. However, playlists seem to be supported, and there may be some hope yet.

Now a really useful guide to Fixing Windows with Knoppix has appeared online, a reprint of a chapter in the book Hacking Knoppix from Scott Granneman . You might want to plan ahead, print out the chapter and put it alongside a fresh burn of Knoppix STD when you get the call.
I came across Google SMS again today- a way to pull all sorts of useful stuff from Google with the fast SMS from your cellphone.
