TechPodcasts and SDR Listeners – Plus a Fun Item from CES
–by Andrew McCaskey

Thanks for the continued comments on the Frappr page – you might want to check out the close shave from the dotnet developers in Kansas City and one of the skyscraper photo from Grand Rapids.

Speaking of dotNET: I had an email from a technical recruiter in New York today, who is searching for a C++ developer and has several .net openings. If you’d like me to forward your name to him or have a person you’d like to recommend, send me your email contact information and I’ll be glad to forward it along. Slashdotreview at gmail.com

Interesting experiments going on in the Techpodcast Network. I have always believed that technology needs a healthy balance of music and entertainment – and that emerging artists deserve our attention. Lance Heath at the Digital Experience Podcast is taking the plunge in a live event with Whitney Steele. It’s a live streaming performance, February 10th at 7PM Pacific. A fun and affordable product that I saw at CES from Creative Labs called Prodikeys

Prodikeys

Imagine a conventional PC keyboard on your desk. Now add an aftermarket wrist pad protector. Now replace the wrist pad protector with a a 37 key musical synthesizer keyboard, add a pitchbender control and let it play with your soundcard.

Time to get back to work? Well, slip the music keyboard cover back on and the Prodikeys doubles up as an ergonomic wrist support for your working comfort. You don’t have to create additional space just to have a separate wrist pad. When it’s time to have fun again, slip off the cover and you’re ready to rock the house down. It Functions also as a MIDI Controller for most music sequencing software. It looks like a whole lot of fun, and a Froggle search places it at some locations at around $50. It also looks like it’s backordered on Amazon, so lots of people may have the same idea.
