(I know that we featured this track recently (Nov 16th) – but since I am traveling I was not able to put as much time into music selection today as I had hoped. Thanks for your patience — and enjoy. I’ll pull some new music later in the week as soon as I can get to a broadband connection and preview some tracks.)

Always fun trying to produce the show in a mobile environment. Today I was able to pull some of the articles enroute, from the Nation’s largest provider of free wifi, namely Panera Bread. This evening trying to pull things together on a dial up line, while simultaneously breaking in a new laptop and mic has been the recipe for a less than pleasant experience. A lot of it will be corrected tomorrow when I can get to a high speed connection.

The Listgarden files that are the secret sauce for generation of the bittorrent feed seem to be corrupted so I’ll be doing that by hand as well. Usually, LG generates the RSS that is pulled by DownloadRadio for the bittorrent feed – and in my haste to move to this new laptop, things moved ok, but did not test out well when it came time to working as expected.

I also see that in the final mix to hit the time mark, that the music industry item got deleted. I’ll make that the first story tomorrow.

    Recent Links and Announcements:

A new addition to the site at SDR.com , an array of MobilCast Qualified handsets. The engineers at Melodeo run handsets through the mill and qualify them for the MobilCast service. The list changes every few days, as Sony Ericsson and Nokia enhance and obsolete various model numbers. I’ll try to keep it up to date.

Thanks to Pete Murry of Laporte PA for a video clip that he posted as his photo on the Frappr page. Right next to Rob’s dignified photo. If you are a fan of the TV show NCIS, this is a DiNozo moment from the animal world. It is worth the trip to the page, watch the penguin carefully.

About a year ago I found a great WGBH Boston TV program that I have linked before about the music business called “The Way the Music Died” If you want to really understand why indy music is a part of SDR, take time to stream the program on the site.
