Thanks to Terry Powell for his continued support of SDR

Due to his pin on the Frapper page, his photo is featured on the site today.
    Terry Powell

Hello also to Erin and Friend in New York, Bryce in the somewhat rare state of North Dakota, RDell Johnson, an early subscriber and Ron Wimplinger in Taiwan.

Thanks to those of you who are taking time to fill out the new Podcast Survey .
Both veteran and new listeners are welcome. As I have said before, this survey is really, really important in determining steps to be made in the New Year. If you haven’t taken the time yet, please visit the site and go through the questions.

Here’s some of what’s happening on the TechPodcast Network this week:

The Geek at Geek News Central has hatched up a plan to give away $127.00 just before christmas. If you want a chance at winning $127.00 you will want to listen to Todd’s show this week for clues on how you can try to win yourself some christmas cash. In addition lots of great tech tips, news items and anything hot in the world of tech can be found twice a week on the Geek News Central Podcast

And be sure to check out The World’s Technology Podcast this week. Tech correspondent Clark Boyd will be talking with the author of a new book on Iranian blogs and bloggers. Also, the show will take a look at the global rise of malware in 2005, with an eye toward how users can better protect themselves in 2006. For all the latest global technology news, visit www.theworld.org/technology.

These are examples of over forty technology oriented podcasts, in varying scope and depth to be found in the Techpodcast network.

    Recent Links and Announcements:

A new addition to the site at SDR.com , an array of MobilCast Qualified handsets. The engineers at Melodeo run handsets through the mill and qualify them for the MobilCast service. The list changes every few days, as Sony Ericsson and Nokia enhance and obsolete various model numbers. I’ll try to keep it up to date.

Thanks to Pete Murry of Laporte PA for a video clip that he posted as his photo on the Frappr page. Right next to Rob’s dignified photo. If you are a fan of the TV show NCIS, this is a DiNozo moment from the animal world. It is worth the trip to the page, watch the penguin carefully.

About a year ago I found a great WGBH Boston TV program that I have linked before about the music business called “The Way the Music Died” If you want to really understand why indy music is a part of SDR, take time to stream the program on the site.
