Long Term SDR listeners will recognize the sound of the bird test… and it is appropriate since Pete Murry of Laporte PA put up a video clip of misbehaving penguins that he posted as his photo on the Frappr page. You’ll have to search for it, but it’s an animation and worth the trip to the page. Anyway, since that was posted, I think we’ve had about three more bird related photos to show up.

Hello to Jay Anyang, from Korea – and thanks to SurferBill for his comments on the Garageband songs. I’ve had a lot of fun sifting thru there, and can tell you that CD Baby gives great service and the artist receives a major part of your purchase price. Unlike some more conventional record deals.

About a year ago I found a great WGBH Boston TV program that I have linked before about the music business called “The Way the Music Died”

If you want to really understand why indy music is a part of SDR, take time to stream the program on the site.

Listener Rob Goshko has some wisdom on his Frappr link “It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.” — The Mentat Programming Mantra

A quick note: If you are on T-mobile and are using a Motorola Razr and Mobilcast to try our cell phone feed, some extra settings might be required. There are details in the forums. I also see that there is now a Christmas Channel at Mobilcast – letters to Santa and so forth.
    .
You can fill your letter to Santa with ideas from this weeks Tech Roundtable live event, by registering at Techpodcasts.com We will spend the hour, using Go-To-Meeting, to describe some of the coolest tech toys – for ages – that should be on your list. You will likely see some gadgets you have not seen anywhere else. Thanks to Pete Murry of Laporte PA for a video clip that he posted as his photo on the Frappr page. Right next to Rob’s dignified photo. If you are a fan of the TV show NCIS, this is a DiNozo moment from the animal world. It is worth the trip to the page, watch the penguin carefully.

    Recent Links and Announcements:

A new addition to the site at SDR.com , an array of MobilCast Qualified handsets. The engineers at Melodeo run handsets through the mill and qualify them for the MobilCast service. The list changes every few days, as Sony Ericsson and Nokia enhance and obsolete various model numbers. I’ll try to keep it up to date.
