That Network ID is for those listening on the TPN streaming service at their desktop. The service includes many top shows,: Apple-Log, Are you a Geek, Chuckchat, Digital Experience Podcast, Linux Log, Maccast, Perlcast, Rootsmart, MikeTech Show, Webtalk, and of course GeekNews Central and SDR, Oneminute Tip,Macreview cast and Wireless Tech Radio.

Two shows of note this week one on the streamer, one not:

This week on the Mike Tech Show, Mike discusses how to make old Firefox extensions work on the new version of Firefox.. He provides you with two Linux tutorial videos. The first one teaches you how to setup Linux and Windows XP for dual booting on the same system. The other one is on how to install software on Linux. For Mike’s main topic he provides you with an inexpensive way to backup your system data.

In the latest edition of the Norbtek.info Podcast, Norbert does something a little diffrent. Instead of giving you a bit of news and a plethora of information on consumer electronics, he podcasts directly to Santa Clause himself and gives us “A Geeks’s Christmas List – An Open Letter to Santa Clause”. You can check it out at www.Norbtek.Info.

Just this afternoon, I noticed that Rob Greenlee has added his photo and pin at the Frappr map for SDR, and notes that he is a Mobilcast listener – catching SDR on his commute listening on his cell phone mobile handset and the Melodeo Mobilcast free software. If you’ve successfully added SDR to your Mobilcast, let me hear from you , and add a photo and note to your Frappr pin !

Thanks to Pete Murry of Laporte PA for a video clip that he posted as his photo on the Frappr page. Right next to Rob’s dignified photo. If you are a fan of the TV show NCIS, this is a DiNozo moment from the animal world. It is worth the trip to the page, watch the penguin carefully.

Please take our Survey (at the upper right of this page). This is a critical part of the future of Slashdot Review. Thanks !

    Recent Links and Announcements:

A new addition to the site at SDR.com , an array of MobilCast Qualified handsets. The engineers at Melodeo run handsets through the mill and qualify them for the MobilCast service. The list changes every few days, as Sony Ericsson and Nokia enhance and obsolete various model numbers. I’ll try to keep it up to date.
