Well with all the new toys, I something was sure to break. As you know, I’ve spent the last few days adding lots of parts, and in good fashion un-intentionally breaking others. Thanks to listeners and subscribers who are rolling with the punches, namely the FeedBlitz email subscribers and long term listeners using Doppler. I’ve posted the work arounds on the site – the email problem with the Podtrac Player can be solved with clicking on a link, but the Doppler problem puts those listeners into a manual mode, at least until the next version of Doppler allows them to pull the bittorrent feed.
Thanks to Steve Holden and Gary Mitchell for the initial heads up on the Doppler issue !
This Frappr page is fun. Nineteen brave souls have put in their push pin so far, giving a fair start on the gallery, showing where various SDR listeners are found.
If you are hearing this before November 19th at 1:30PM Pacific / 4:30 Eastern, you have time to join us for a one hour Roundup of the recent Portable Media Expo. Our special guest will be Doug Kaye, of IT Conversations, who was honored as Podcaster of the Year.
Actually we will have two distinguished guests: Doug Kaye and Mark McCrery, CEO of Podtrac in Washington DC. Podtrac is a free measurement service for podcasters and a new company that specializes in precisely matching audience demographics and interests with the appropriate advertising. Mark will be talking about the second level advisory board for the survey portion of their service, a chance for listeners to really make a difference in the future of podcasting’s direction. If you think podcasting is or should be different from commercial radio in some way, you’ll want to find out how to get on this advisiory board.
Be sure to sign up -We will be using GoToMeeting.
Finally, there will be lots of time for questions. Afterwards, I think that you will agree that these two gentlemen are, in addition to being great presenters are also great listeners.
