I hope that by the time you hear this that you will have been able to make plans for the Techpodcast Event Saturday Sept 24 at 1:30PM Pacific.

Here’s the line-up:

Todd Cochrane of Geek News Central will start covering key items to look out for when choosing a hosting provider and the issues with hosting mp3 files on shared host.

Dave Chekan from Libsyn hosting will give a quick overview of how Libsyn takes advantage of the unique peak/average distribution pattern of most podcasts in a very clever architecture for conventional hosting that’s extremely affordable. Then Peter Yorke of DownloadRadio.org will give a short review/ tutorial on Bittorrent fundamentals that will set the stage for later parts of the program

You might know that both Libsyn and DownloadRadio are absolutely critical parts of SDR’s distribution. In the second half of the program, you’ll find out why.

Hosting is just one part of the equation. There will be a 20 minute segment on the configuration of WordPress, Movable Type and Drupal. Our guest speaker will concentrate on Getting Drupal setup and Podcast Ready!

After all the theory and Tutorials, we pause for audience questions : OK, how does this work, Really ? What You Need, What to Watch out for.
