You have to be very careful in the world of podcasting. I think that good news carries some sort of jinx – you may remember the fine words on bittorrent last night ? within a few hours some very bad things happened at one of the sites for DownloadRadio.org. — and for the first time in a long time, the bittorrent feed is down, at least for a few days.

All I can say is: remember a story about an SSH vulnerability a few months ago? Believe it.

If you are hearing this before roughly 1:00pm Pacific Saturday August 13, you can still zip to the techpodcast.com site, register and attend the current TPN Live Event at 1:30pm Pacific Time. An iPod Shuffle and two copies of Podcasting “The Do it Yourself Guide” if you pre-register and attend the event.

Here are some of the topics that will be covered in the special live TPN program on Podcasting : Perhaps you’ve had difficulty Setting Audio Levels Correctly and are tempted by that “pro grade” audio card . What are the differences between Stock Audio Cards and High end performance cards ? how do you RMS Level your Audio Files ?

If bandwidth is a concern, we will give you two options on making your audio file available via BitTorrent, and since iTunes is on the scene we are going to cover ID3 Tag labeling changes you may want to make to your audio files.

Be sure to sign up for a live interactive TechPodcasts.com Roundtable on August 13th. Read the rest of this entry »
