Hard work and optimism have triumphed ! The bittorrent feed is back up and the swarm’s on track. You might recall that August 10 – that’s right – almost three weeks ago,a single unpatched machine in one remote seeder provided the entry point for mischief of the worst sort. Peter Yorke of Download Radio and Rob Greenlee of WebTalk Radio – have spent the better part of two of those weeks rebuilding the facilities – some in Seattle, some down south in Burbank. Could not have happened at a worse time. Peter was moving over 100 servers as a part of his day job and moving from house to new apartment in the real world.
Thanks and appreciation to both for and making sure that one, history does not repeat itself, and two – that the system will have the bittorrent seeding capacity to move to the next level reliability for video content as well as podcasts.
